The Hero XPulse is getting some significant changes to the engine on the upcoming BS6-compliant model. For the BS6 avatar, the off-road-oriented motorcycle will now be air- and oil-cooled which should be a welcome change to owners who are looking to push the motorcycle to its limit. Other changes include a rerouted exhaust system which is now directed downwards to go under the engine and back up to the muffler, a change that was made to make room for the larger catalytic convertor. The belly-pan has been redesigned to make room for the exhaust piping which has brought about a marginal impact on the ground clearance. While the power figures of the BS6 model have not been revealed, expect it to fall slightly when compared to the BS4 model.Hero XPulse 200 gets a long-travel suspension and larger spoked wheels (21-inch up front and 18-inch at the rear) wrapped in knobby wire-spoked tires. It makes use of a box-section swingarm and a mono-shock rear suspension at the rear, and telescopic forks at the front. The front forks have 190mm travel while the gas-charged mono-shock at the rear has 170mm travel. It also features a luggage rack, knuckle guards, a high-mounted exhaust for better water-wading capability, and a sump guard.
